It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Frank Santini of Wasaga Beach, Ontario, a devoted member of the hockey community whose sudden loss has left family, friends, and the Stayner Siskins organization in mourning.
Frank was a respected and cherished figure within the Siskins family, dedicating more than 25 years of service to the organization as a member of its Board of Directors. His commitment to the team was unwavering, and his presence was a constant at games, meetings, and community events. For Frank, the Siskins were more than just a hockey club—they were a lifelong passion and a central part of his identity.
A lifelong lover of hockey, Frank’s connection to the sport began in childhood when he played the game himself. That early passion never faded, evolving into a lifelong dedication to supporting and developing the sport at the community level. He later contributed as a coach, sharing his knowledge, encouragement, and love for the game with younger generations of players.
Those who knew Frank describe him as deeply committed, enthusiastic, and proud of the organization he served. He often spoke warmly about the players and the team’s achievements, taking great pride in their growth and success. This past season held special meaning for him as he celebrated the Siskins’ Carruthers Division championship victory over the Alliston Hornets, a moment that brought him immense joy.
Frank’s family shared how much he valued his involvement with the team and how proudly he spoke of its members. His dedication extended far beyond administration—he was a mentor, supporter, and familiar face who embodied the spirit of community hockey.
His passing leaves a significant void within the Siskins organization and the broader hockey community. He will be remembered not only for his long-standing service but also for his passion, kindness, and the genuine care he showed for everyone involved in the sport.
As friends, teammates, and colleagues come to terms with this loss, they hold on to the memories Frank helped create over decades of dedication. His legacy will live on in the rink, in the team he supported so faithfully, and in the lives of those he inspired.
Frank Santini will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
