Four people were killed and two others were hospitalized following a fatal two-vehicle crash on Monday night along NY 9H in Claverack, authorities confirmed.
Officials identified the victims as Nazmul Robel, 29, of Loudonville; Mohammed Heramon, 60, of the Bronx; Fahim Halim, 25, of the Bronx; and Julia Ritchie, 62, of Stockport. All four were pronounced dead following the collision.
Two additional individuals involved in the crash were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not yet been publicly released.
According to authorities, the crash occurred late Monday evening under circumstances that remain under investigation. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the collision was reported, where they found significant damage to both vehicles involved.
The roadway was temporarily closed as investigators worked to document the scene and begin reconstructing the events leading up to the crash. Officials have not yet confirmed the cause of the collision, and it remains unclear whether speed, weather conditions, or other factors played a role.
Law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the incident.
